- How do I know if I really need an Urban Assistant?
If you ever wonder when was the last time you sat down and had a real rest, or if you avoid certain areas of your home or office because of the clutter, or if you miss friends’ birthdays or forget to pay the bills or ever just wish you had a bit more time in the day – then you need an Urban Assistant!
- What will an Urban Assistant actually do for me, though?
Urban Assistant provides professional organising, lifestyle management and
event management services. Put simply, that means if you have a ‘to do’ list which just isn’t getting done, we can help. Here are some of the things we’ve done to help our clients:
Organising clients’ spaces
- reorganised home offices so that everything is accessible and stays that way
- decluttered wardrobes so that the client didn’t need to waste money on new storage options
- cleared out the spare room to make way for a new baby
- cleared out the teenagers’ old rooms once they’d moved out of home, to make way for a home gym and cinema room
- reorganised office filing systems so that less time is spent on paperwork and more time is spent on earning money
- decluttered homes before moving house – then dealt with the packing and unpacking
Organising clients’ lives
- researched piano teachers, how to send loudspeakers to Wales, how to donate art to a gallery,
how to hang fabric as wall art
- obtained spare parts from Italy for an obscure brand of ice-cream maker
- purchased, wrapped and sent Christmas presents for an entire family
- planned and booked holidays, honeymoons and weekends away

- How much will it cost?
This depends on you – on which service you choose and how long you need it for. We will do an initial consultation in which we will discuss your exact needs to establish which package would be best for you. Each package is tailored specifically to you.
- How does it work?
Again, this depends on you and which service you choose. We start with an initial consultation and take it from there.
If you need help organising your home or office, we will work very closely with you – firstly to declutter and then to reorganise and give you hints and tips on how to keep it that way.
If you need help organising your life, we will spend some time getting to know you and how you like things done. Once we have a list of tasks to complete for you, we leave you in peace to put your feet up while we do all the running around for you. We stay in regular contact with you to ensure everything is going as you expect.
Lastly, if you need help organising a big event, we will work closely with you to design a brief. Then, if you’re happy to leave it all in our hands, we will go away and organise every detail for you – leaving you to relax and enjoy the big day when it comes around. Of course, we stay in regular contact with you to make sure everything is running smoothly.
- If you’re helping me to organise my space, will you make me throw things away?
It might sound like a funny question, but it’s one we get asked a lot. No – we won’t make you throw things away. What you keep is entirely up to you. But we will work closely with you to establish exactly what you need and what you want – and sometimes during the process you will discover that there are things you want to throw away. But we would never throw anything away without checking with you first.
- Is there anything that Urban Assistant won’t do for me?
For the most part, as long as it’s legal and ethical – we can help you with it. There are a few things we don’t do – but we can arrange for someone else to do them for you. These include cooking, cleaning, childcare, dog walking and some administration tasks.
- What if I have confidential information that I need to keep private?
Urban Assistant is committed to keeping all of your personal details absolutely confidential. Your personal details will never be revealed to a third party. We will only use the information you provide for the purposes for which you advise.
